Allegiant Air Cancels Flights To These 11 Airports: See Full List Now

Allegiant Air’s September 2026 network will look different from the airline’s schedule one year earlier, with 11 airports no longer receiving Allegiant service compared with September 2025. The changes affect airports across the US: from California and Montana to Virginia and Michigan, although seven of the 11 are scheduled to return to the network from October. Our comparison highlights both permanent-looking exits and seasonal suspensions, not 11 outright route terminations.

The changes are based on a direct comparison of Allegiant’s September 2026 schedule with the carrier’s September 2025 network. Allegiant builds its network around leisure-oriented routes and adjusts capacity with seasonal demand, so an airport disappearing from one month’s schedule does not necessarily signal the end of service. You shouldn’t worry if you can’t find your route on the Allegiant website; it can be a temporary suspension. See the whole list below.

11 Airports Missing From Allegiant’s September 2026 Network

The 11 airports identified in our comparison are Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE), Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO), Great Falls International Airport (GTF), Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW), Monterey Regional Airport (MRY), Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport (OAK), Richmond International Airport (RIC), San Diego International Airport (SAN), and Cherry Capital Airport (TVC). Allegiant’s own airport listings confirm several of these airports as current or recent points in its network, including GSO, GTF, MRY, TVC, IAD, and RIC.

The key distinction is that seven airports are absent only in September, with scheduled service returning in October. Those are GSO, GTF, IAD, MDW, MRY, RIC and TVC. The remaining four — CAE, LAX, OAK and SAN — have no September service and are not returning from October, making them the most significant network reductions.

Seven Airports Are Set To Return In October

September’s reduction is not as dramatic as the schedule might suggest. The supplied schedule shows Allegiant returning to GSO, GTF, IAD, MDW, MRY, RIC, and TVC from October, with routes extending into December. This makes the September gap appear primarily seasonal or schedule-related rather than evidence that Allegiant has permanently abandoned all seven markets.

The planned October-December routes also demonstrate how Allegiant is concentrating its service at these airports around leisure destinations. From Greensboro (Piedmont Triad), for example, the carrier is scheduled to operate to St. Pete-Clearwater (PIE), while Great Falls returns with service to Las Vegas McCarran International Airport (LAS) and Phoenix-Mesa (AZA). Dulles is scheduled to reconnect with destinations including Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS), Knoxville (TYS), Sarasota (SRQ), Punta Gorda (PGD), Jacksonville (JAX), and Asheville (AVL), reflecting the carrier’s emphasis on leisure traffic.

The Dulles operation is particularly notable because Allegiant launched only several of its IAD routes in 2022 and expanded at the airport again in 2025. Back in 2024, the airline announced new Dulles services mentioned above as part of a major network expansion.

Four Airports Face More Significant Network Reductions

While the seven temporary suspensions should not alarm passengers planning October or winter trips, four airports stand out because they do not return to their schedules. CAE, LAX, OAK and SAN represent the clearest reductions in Allegiant’s footprint. The carrier’s changing California presence is especially notable, with Oakland, Los Angeles and San Diego all appearing among the airports removed from the September comparison.

Oakland is particularly significant because, according to the airline’s data, Allegiant served the Bay Area airport from 2009 until it ended flights in May 2026. San Diego is another long-standing market, with Allegiant beginning service in 2008 before ending it in September 2025. The changes show how even long-established leisure markets can eventually be removed as the airline continually reshapes its network.

September 2026 should not be interpreted as a snapshot of Allegiant’s entire autumn network. Seven airports return in October, while four ended service earlier in 2026 or in 2025. Allegiant continues to operate at more than 100 US airports, so these reductions are part of a broader network that remains heavily focused on connecting smaller communities to major leisure destinations.
