With Nike, Inc.’s Air Jordan “Black Pack” on the horizon for the holiday season, a first look at yet another model in the collection has surfaced, and it’s one of Michael Jordan’s least-released signature sneakers.

The limited-edition four-sneaker Air Jordan Black Pack will include the Air Jordan 14 Retro Low, Air Jordan 15 Retro, Air Jordan 16 Retro and Air Jordan 17 Retro Low, each of which features premium materials inspired by exotic animals. After seeing the collection’s Air Jordan 14 Low, Air Jordan 15 and Air Jordan 17 Low, a first look at the group’s Air Jordan 16 has emerged.

The Air Jordan 16 Retro Black Pack features a Black/Off Noir colorway and is decked out in premium leather finished with an elephant-inspired texture. The tumbled material is seen throughout much of the sneaker’s upper, including its signature removable magnetic lace cover shroud, while the model’s standard ventilated mesh cut-outs are seen underneath. The rest of the sneaker maintains trademark Air Jordan 16 details including a shiny patent leather toe and visible Zoom Air cushioning.

The Air Jordan 16 was originally released in 2001, months prior to Jordan’s September return to the NBA as a member of the Washington Wizards. He would go on to play in the sneaker’s Ginger colorway before soon debuting the Air Jordan 17, but the Air Jordan 16 was also worn by other standout players around the league including Ray Allen, Richard Hamilton, Mike Bibby and Reggie Miller, among others.

Despite being popular with fans, the Air Jordan 16 is one of the most infrequently reissued sneakers in the Air Jordan line. It resurfaced in 2026 through a collaboration with Ghanaian label Free the Youth but prior to that, the model was last seen in 2020 for Russell Westbrook’s “Why Not?” pack.

The Air Jordan 16 Retro SP Black Pack will be released Oct. 3 exclusively from Nike Nbhd retailers in limited quantities for a retail price of $245. The sneaker’s style code is IZ2586-001.
