Dave The Diver’s Final DLC Is The Perfect Crossover

After years of content updates and DLC expansions, Mintrocket has announced that the final wave of DLC for Dave the Diver will launch in ‘Early 2027‘, and it’s a crossover that feels like it was always meant to be.

Dave will be teaming up with Subnautica 2 in the free expansion, adding the ocean moon Proteus into the gameplay loop, complete with its fair share of alien creatures.

We don’t have too much info on what to expect from this one just yet, but it will see Dave and Bancho stepping through a mysterious portal to pick up strange catches (and ingredients) from the other side.

Here’s a brief rundown of the DLC and a handful of screenshots from its Steam page:

DAVE THE DIVER dives into the mysterious world of Subnautica 2 in an all-new crossover adventure. New waters, strange creatures, and unexpected discoveries await beyond the portal.

AN UNEXPECTED VISITOR
The Blue Hole has a visitor from the other side.
DIVE INTO ANOTHER WORLD
Explore the unfamiliar ocean moon Proteus, filled with unfamiliar creatures and valuable resources waiting to be discovered.
EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED
Dave’s journey into an unfamiliar world comes with a few surprises, including some he’d probably rather not meet.

While we’ll be sad to see the DLC expansions wrap up next year, there’s no knocking the commitment Mintrocket has shown to new Dave the Diver content. Heck, even without all of the extras, we could still play this game forever.
