How to build the outpost in Arc Raiders

The outpost is a brand-new feature that has arrived alongside the Arc Raiders ‘Frozen Trail’ update, but before you can establish your home on the surface of the planet and depart from Speranza, you must first complete a few tasks. Nothing in Arc Raiders comes for free, after all. This works in a similar way to a project, but can be found under the dedicated outpost tab at the top of the screen when you’re not in a raid.

Here’s a rundown of the three sections you must complete to build the outpost in Arc Raiders.

Research topside living conditions

  • Take a photo of any farmland house around the Ruined Homestead.

Reward:

  • Advanced camera blueprint

The Ruined Homestead can be found on the Blue Gate map. For this task, make sure you have a camera in your inventory, then head there and snap a picture of any house in the location. Watch out though, because this can often be a hotspot for Arc enemies; there’ll usually be a Leaper, Bastion, or Bombardier in the area.

Gather building materials

For this section, you must gather the following materials:

  • 3 planks
  • 5 sheet metal
  • 10 Arc alloy
  • 3 advanced electrical components

Reward:

  • Red light stick blueprint

Planks and sheet metal are two new items, but they’re both common materials so they’re a bit easier to find. If you want to speed through this part though, you can acquire each material from Celeste at a rate of three assorted seeds each. You can also craft advanced electrical components at an upgraded refiner workbench for three wires and two electrical components apiece.

Safeguard the building site

Finally, you must complete these two objectives to finish the outpost:

  • Deal 800 damage to flying Arc enemies
  • Deal 300 damage to Bullies

Rewards:

  • Hotel chair design
  • 15 planks
  • 5 durable cloths

Your best bet for this is to head to Pendola Pass. Skulkers can be found all over the map — listen out for their Star Wars droid-esque beeping — while Bullies will typically be found in the central areas. If you hear a lot of fighting, there’s a high chance it’s another player or squad taking on a Bully.

Once you’ve finished this section, you can complete your outpost, and begin kitting it out with furniture and workbenches. This is also the only way you can get your hands on the research station, which is required for weapon amplification.
