Mangione admits to shooting insurance CEO, pleads guilty to federal charges


NEW YORK — Luigi Mangione pleaded guilty Friday to federal stalking charges in the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson and admitted that he shot the executive.

Mangione, 28, read a statement in court in which he described targeting Thompson outside an investor conference in late 2024.
