Join the millions of players who have already taken their seat, challenged The Dealer, and discovered why Buckshot Roulette has become one of the most talked-about indie games around. And if you haven’t heard that talk yet, let us walk you through this viral horror phenomenon.

How Roulette Evolved from Revolver to Shotgun
Look, we all know the classic premise of Russian Roulette. But when we first came across the concept of swapping out a traditional revolver for a heavy-duty, pump-action 12-gauge shotgun, it was clear we had stumbled across something special. Because if you’re going to make a bad decision, you might as well make it spectacularly dangerous.
The rules are simple. The chamber is loaded with a mix of live and blank shells. You and The Dealer take turns drawing items, racking the shotgun, and deciding whether to aim at your opponent… or take your chances yourself.
It’s a game of probability, mind games, and pure chaos. Will you play it safe? Push your luck? Bluff your way to victory? Or just die trying? The night’s still young. Grab your controller, take your seat, and pull the trigger. Double down, trust your instincts, and remember: there are no participation trophies at this table.

Face the Underworld Alone, or Bring Your Buddies
At its core, Buckshot Roulette is a tense, claustrophobic single-player experience, complete with a high-stakes Double or Nothing score attack mode, designed to test even the most fearless risk-takers. But even before our official launch, our community was asking for one specific thing. Very persistently.
So we added multiplayer support as a post-launch update, and it arrives packed in with the XBOX version, including crossplay between XBOX platforms via XBOX Play Anywhere. We wanted Buckshot Roulette to support up to 4 players in a single game, and that meant redesigning everything: from the player characters to the table itself. Even the soundtrack is completely different.
The gameplay dynamics also shift dramatically in multiplayer. Expect bluffing, mind games, and plenty of moments where friendships are tested. But at the core of it still lies the same thrill of pointing a loaded shotgun at someone and praying to live another round.
A quick word of advice from us to you: When there is only one shell left in the chamber, trust nobody.

An Experimental Horror Game Turned Viral Phenomenon
Frankly speaking, it’s been crazy seeing all the support from our community over the last few years. Buckshot Roulette began as a small experiment on Itch.io, but since then it’s grown and evolved so much.
We’ve seen thousands of pieces of fan art where players have added their characters into the Dealer’s place and even more featuring The Dealer himself. A real-life version of the Buckshot Roulette multiplayer table was featured on K4sen Con, and we’ve even seen a few incredibly well-produced fan movies. The community’s creativity knows no bounds.
Today marks the first time Buckshot Roulette will be available on a console, and we’re so happy to share this moment with you.
