Adidas Originals and Pharrell Williams are back with the newest iteration of the Virginia Vario Flat Earther silhouette.

Set to be delivered in black and blue suede colorways on June 20, the launch follows the April debut of the model, which came in white full grain leather and accented in either green or black stripes.

Resurfaced from the depths of the Adidas archive, the Virginia Vario Flat Earther takes the Adidas Yoga Vario, a fall/winter 2004 silhouette born from the discipline of yoga, and reimagines it entirely through Williams’ lens into a purely lifestyle pair. Adidas noted at the time of the first launch, that the shoe’s name stems from Williams’ desire to have the style focus on “groundedness and balance, while encouraging a play with perspective.”

This latest shifts into premium suede territory, brings “a softer, more lived-in feel” while “preserving the Flat Earther’s low-profile, lifestyle-first DNA,” Adidas noted. The result doubles down on the Virginia Vario Flat Earther’s original thesis: low-profile, premium, and loaded with intentionality, the German athletic company added.

The shoe’s suede upper lends a soft, tactile finish to the sneaker’s clean geometry. A magnetic closure system replaces traditional laces, offering an effortless on-and-off motion that reinforces the model’s philosophy of intentional, frictionless movement. White leather stripes run alongside the sidewalls, anchoring the design in Adidas’ visual heritage, while a rubber outsole completes the construction, finished with Virginia branding underfoot.

Virginia is Williams’ creative pseudonym and cultural platform, a direct connection between his creative world and his audience. Rooted in his home state and reaching globally, it is a destination for music, community, limited-edition merchandise, live events, and boundary-pushing design, Adidas said.

“Virginia is where it began,” Williams explained in April. “It started with the Jellyfish, it let you float. Now comes the Virginia Vario Flat Earther, the next chapter of Virginia. Low profile and fitted, it’s designed to keep you grounded. Stay close to the earth. Move with intention.”

The news follows another development in the duo’s Jellyfish release saga over the weekend.

Following a series of globally sold-out releases, Adidas Originals brought the Virginia Adistar Jellyfish by Pharrell to Chicago for a special retail moment. At the time, fans had the opportunity to enter an in-store raffle for a chance to purchase the highly sought-after Triple White colorway. The raffle took place exclusively at Adidas Wicker Park on Saturday, June 13. Winners will be selected following the sign-up period and notified directly with purchase details.

The latest Virginia Vario Flat Earther in suede by Pharrell Williams, which retails for $140, will be available on Adidas.com/pharrell and at select retailers beginning June 20.
