With the ongoing 2026 Iran Crisis continuing to unfold, some travelers are looking at all options to escape the Gulf, with those desperate opting for private jets to escape. This has seen the interest for private jet charters soar, as far as $200,000 for a one-way ticket to escape the region. The Iran crisis has left thousands of people stranded in the region, and with airspace closures continuing, options remain limited for commercial air travel.
Emirates and Qatar Airways have seen their networks grounded this last week, as ongoing conflict in the region has forced airspace closures. While EK has recently been able to relaunch services, these are a skeleton of what they once were. Desperate travelers have been looking at all optiont o leave the region, and the private jet sector is now seeing a surge in demand.
Rescue Flights Limited Forcing Some To Go Private
With rescue flights limited and some hindered due to ongoing airspace closures, is seeing that some travelers can’t wait and are looking for alternative options. Recently, 
Lufthansa had deployed an aircraft to operate to the region to repatriate stranded travelers, the flight was diverted due to safety fears. 
Air France has faced the same.
This conflict between Israel, the USA and Iran has continued to escalate and led to widespread flight cancellations. As a result, the private jet sector is now booming. JetX Pets, a private travel firm based in Dubai, has spoke to Dawn.com that due to the ongoing conflict, interest in travel has soared.
As hinted in the name, JetX Pets focuses on private jet travel for pets, usually with relocation flights between the United Kingdom and Dubai. A look at their website shows a one-way trip between Dubai and London Luton usually sitting at around $9,999 per person and pet. However reports of private jet demand in the region now seeing a one-way ticket on other private jet companies soaring, with some up to $200,000 for a one-way ticket on a private jet that can cater for up to 15 people.
Usual Price Of A Private Jet
Excluding those traveling with pets, the common price for a private jet to and from Dubai would cost between $50,000 to $100,000 for a smaller aircraft, and this can go as high as $200,000. Also commenting to Dawn, Atlay Kula, the Chief Executive Officer of French private jet broker JetVIP, noted that demand continues to rise, especially for those looking for ‘solutions’ to depart the Middle East. With the ongoing conflict jeopardising airspace safety, those looking for a confirmed ticket can be expected to wait until the last minute, with some looking to travel outside of the UAE, or Qatar, to neighbouring Oman, where they can then be able to access less restricted airspace.
Fewer restrictions above the skies in Muscat or Salala have seen airlines opting to fly to and from this country instead. Qatar Airways has relocated aircraft and crew to Muscat, now operating a reduced schedule from this ‘mini hub’ for the timebeing.

Those with enough coin to purchase a seat on a private jet can expect to be treated to a more luxurious experience than expected on commercial scheduled passenger flights. These include spaciously designed cabins and tentative onboard service. Some cabins include lie-flat beds, Wi-FI, and gourmet catering.
PetX Jets noted that their most recent demand following the Iran crisis has seen them garner interest from young families, the elderly and pregnant couples looking to escape the Middle East, away from their bread and butter of pet relocation. As the situation continues to unfold, PetX Jets noted that they will continue to monitor the situation and move with the times as they need.
