Although the SWISS Zurich-style catering is of a much higher caliber, it is a similar style of dining to Norwegian Cruise Line’s Freestyle Dining plan, according to their website. These are both pioneer offerings that enhance dining flexibility during travel.

While SWISS’s product is solid, it may not be as consistent as some of the other carriers on this list. SWISS is unveiling a new flagship “First Grand Suite” in 2026 onboard Boeing 777 and Airbus A350airframes. The new seat will feature configurable designs for an office, a bedroom, a dining room, and a “personal sanctuary.” This product is likely intended to compete directly with Air Franceand the La Premiere product.

Japan Airlines A350 First Class

Japan Airlines offers possibly the most high-tech product in this market segment

• Smart digital tools: control tablet + communication panel outside the door

JAL also offers the “JAL Suite” on their 777-300ER aircraft. However, it is a smaller seat in contrast with the A350’s offering, with smaller dimensions across the board. According to Traicy Japan, there are no active plans to upgrade the 777-300ER from the JAL Suite to the new A350-style seat.

Lufthansa Allegris – A Flying Living Room

Another key component of the Allegris first class seat is its capacity for two passengers. This ticket, therefore, is generally a better deal for passengers traveling in a party of two, whereas solo travelers may be better suited to Allegris Business when ticket price is a consideration.

Air France – La Première
