Two Nova Scotia youth accused of sexual assault and sexual assault with a weapon have both pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Lawyers for the pair were in provincial youth court in Truro, N.S., on Monday to enter the pleas.

They also asked that the matter be adjourned until June while they consider whether to apply to access more information for their defence.

The case will return to court on June 29, at which point trial dates will be set.

Crown Prosecutor Patrick Young said he expects the trial to take seven days.

The charges stem from an incident in October 2025 and involve members of a youth hockey team in the Truro area.

Police had initially arrested four youth, but the case is only proceeding with charges against the two who are now before the courts.

Police have said they have identified at least three victims but more could come forward.
