Zara Tindall Channels Equestrian Inspo in L’Agence for New Year’s Day

Zara Tindall embraced her equestrian roots and career in a look by L’Agence and Farifax & Favor for the New Year’s Day Cheltenham race on Thursday in Cheltenham, England.

Tindall, a granddaughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II, wore the Kolina plaid long coat from L’Agence for her refined outerwear for Thursday’s race. Crafted of Italian recycled wool-blend houndstooth, the coat was initially introduced as part of the fall 2025 collection. Beneath the coat, Tindall wore a black turtleneck and mahogany brown skirt.

Tindall’s equestrian-inspired pieces were most notable with her Fairfax & Favor mahogany leather boots, accentuated by her leather gloves. She also carried a Fairfax & Favor bag to further complement her look. Fairfax & Favor, a British luxury brand, is among one of Tindall’s go-to labels, having worn boots from the brand on several previous occasions.

When it came to her accessories, Tindall wore a pair of simple gold earrings to underscore the warm tones of her attire.

For the final touch, Tindall added a pop of color with her blue bespoke velvet wrap headband by United Kingdom-based brand Camilla Rose Millinery. The piece also served as a small way to further accentuate the blue tones featured throughout the plaid design of her L’Agence coat.

Tindall’s equestrian-inspired wardrobe holds a lot of sentimental value for the British royal family member. Much like her mother, Princess Anne, Tindall competed professionally in the equestrian sport, landing a silver medal as part of the British equestrian team at the 2012 London Olympics.

An avid fan of racing and continued fan of equestrian sport, Tindall’s wardrobe pays homage to her past athletic career, often wearing tailored pieces — like Thursday’s L’Agence coat — and riding-inspired boots that harken back to the uniform the British royal family member wore as a competitor.
