The Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Card is a strong option for business owners who use the Wyndham Rewards program. Its most compelling benefits include automatic Diamond Elite status, 20% off award nights, discounts on paid stays and 8 points per dollar spent at Hotels by Wyndham.

Wyndham previously offered a different version of the Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Card with the same name but a different set of benefits and earning rates. Existing cardholders may still have that version, as they are not being automatically converted to the card currently available to new applicants. This review focuses exclusively on the current version of the card.

The Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Card is a small-business card, so you’ll need a business to apply for it. Additionally, we recommend that applicants have a credit score of 670 or higher to increase their chances of approval for the Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Card.

Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Card welcome offer

New Wyndham Rewards Earner Business cardholders can earn 45,000 bonus points after spending $3,000 on purchases in the first 90 days of account opening. In addition, new cardholders can earn 55,000 additional bonus points after spending $500 at Hotels by Wyndham in the first 180 days of account opening. That’s a total of 100,000 bonus points, which are worth $700 based on TPG’s August 2026 valuations.

Award nights in the Wyndham Rewards program currently cost 7,500, 15,000 or 30,000 points per room (before the cardmember discount). But, starting Sept. 15, award nights will cost 5,000, 15,000, 30,000 or 45,000 points per room (once again, before the cardmember discount). So, with 100,000 points, you could get between two and 25 free nights after you account for the 20% cardmember discount.

Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Card benefits

As with many hotel credit cards, the Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Card offers travelers a variety of useful perks. Here’s a look at the perks you can expect from this card.

Wyndham Diamond status

Cardholders get automatic Wyndham Diamond status as a benefit of the Wyndham Rewards Earner Business. As a Wyndham Diamond member, you’re eligible for suite upgrades, early check-in, late checkout and a welcome amenity at check-in.

However, many Wyndham Diamond perks (such as suite upgrades and late checkout) are available only upon request and subject to availability. Compared to other top-tier hotel elite statuses, the on-site perks of Wyndham Diamond status are relatively weak.

Discounts on Wyndham stays

One of the most useful perks of the Wyndham Rewards Earner Business is the discounts it offers on paid and award stays. Cardholders can get a booking discount on paid stays at participating Wyndham hotels. The discount is good enough that it’s almost always the rate I book.

Cardmembers also receive a 20% discount when redeeming Wyndham points for free night awards. If you frequently stay with Wyndham, these discounts can save you serious points or cash on stays.

Annual points bonus

Wyndham Rewards Earner Business cardmembers get 15,000 bonus points each anniversary after paying the card’s annual fee. This bonus is worth $105 based on TPG’s valuations.

Under the current award chart, this is enough for two nights at properties that charge 7,500 points per night, since cardholders pay 6,000 points per night after the discount. Once Wyndham’s new award chart takes effect Sept. 15, the anniversary points will be enough for three nights at properties in the new 5,000-point tier, which will cost cardholders 4,000 points per night.

Wholesale membership club and accounting software credits

Wyndham Rewards Earner Business cardmembers also enjoy a $65 statement credit each calendar year for eligible wholesale membership club purchases and up to $50 in statement credits each calendar year for eligible accounting software purchases.

Membership fees and renewal fees qualify for the wholesale membership club credit. However, qualifying transactions for both credits are based on merchant category codes; there are no lists of qualifying merchants.

Earning points on the Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Card

When you use the Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Card for purchases, you’ll earn points as follows:

• 8 points per dollar spent on eligible purchases made at Hotels by Wyndham, including hotels through Wyndham travel bundles
• 5 points per dollar spent on eligible vacation club, gas, electric vehicle charging, marketing, advertising, office supply store and shipping purchases
• 1 point per dollar spent on other purchases, excluding Vacation Club down payments

By adding complementary employee cards to your account, you can earn points on purchases made by your employees on these cards.

Redeeming points on the Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Card

You’ll find many ways to redeem Wyndham points, but you’ll get the most value when you redeem the points you earn with the Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Card for stays.

As mentioned above, Wyndham Rewards currently uses a three-tier award chart that prices award nights at 7,500, 15,000 or 30,000 points before the cardmember discount. But, on Sept. 15, the program will switch to a four-tier award chart with nights costing 5,000, 15,000, 30,000 or 45,000 points before the cardmember discount.

Due to the scaling, I usually get the most value when I find high-value award nights costing 7,500 or 15,000 points before the cardmember discount. For example, I recently stayed in São Paulo, Brazil, at a property that cost 7,500 points per night before the cardmember discount.

I’ve also recently stayed in Copenhagen, Denmark; Adelaide, Australia; and Vancouver, British Columbia at properties that cost 15,000 points per night before the cardmember discount.

However, keep in mind that you must have enough points in your account to cover the full cost before the cardmember discount when booking online. If you don’t have enough points to cover the cost without the discount, but have enough to book with the cardmember discount, you can call Wyndham Rewards customer service to book.

The card also offers Points Payback, which lets you redeem Wyndham points for statement credits against eligible purchases. However, you’ll typically get better value by redeeming your points for Wyndham stays.

Transferring points on the Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Card

Wyndham Rewards has several airline transfer partners, but I don’t recommend using this method over redeeming your Wyndham points for stays, as the transfer rates are terrible. The only exception is if you need to top off your airline loyalty account for an upcoming award flight.

You can also transfer Wyndham points to Caesars Rewards Reward Credits at a 1:1 ratio. I’ve done so in the past to prevent my Wyndham points from expiring, but I wouldn’t recommend this method unless you also know and use the Caesars Rewards program and believe doing so will provide good value.

Depending on the primary reason you’re considering the Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Card, different cards will compete with it. But the following three cards are likely the closest competitors to the Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Card:

• If you want a consumer Wyndham card: The Wyndham Rewards Earner® Card has no annual fee and offers a 10% discount on free night awards, Wyndham Gold status, access to the cardmember booking discount for paid stays and no foreign transaction fees.
