Gonzaga Bulldogs great and two-time West Coast Conference Player of the Year, 6-0 forward Yvonne Ejim, has a chance to make her home country’s WNBA team Toronto Tempo’s inaugural roster.
The Calgary, Alberta, Canada, native last played with IDK Euskotren in San Sebastian, Spain, averaging 9.8 points on a shooting split of 50.3 percent on two-pointers/37.8 percent on three-pointers/75.0 percent from the free throw line and 5.9 rebounds over 27 games across the Liga Femenina Endesa.
Gonzaga’s all-time leading scorer (men’s or women’s) was originally selected by the Indiana Fever with the No. 33 overall pick in the third round of the 2025 WNBA Draft, but was waived before the 2025 season began.

Toronto now has 16 players under contract. For the regular season, each WNBA team is allowed to carry only 12 players on its roster with two developmental slots. The Tempo will have to cut down its roster before they open their inaugural season against the Washington Mystics at the Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto on Friday, May 8.
