If there’s one brand that understands exactly how I want to dress between June and September, it’s With Nothing Underneath. The British label built its cult status on the perfect button-down shirt, but one scroll through its website reveals so much more. Think breezy dresses, effortless trousers, chic shorts and the kind of separates that make you want to book a Greek island holiday immediately.

The piece currently occupying far too much space in my mind? The Sifnos trousers. Aptly named after the dreamy Cycladic island (and one of my favourite places I’ve ever visited), they somehow manage to bottle up everything I love about summer dressing. They’re relaxed but polished, comfortable but chic, and have that slightly undone quality that makes an outfit look all the better.

Crafted from cotton poplin, they’re lightweight enough for even the hottest days, whilst the cropped wide-leg shape, oversized patch pockets and easy elasticated waistband give them an effortless feel. They’re the sort of trousers I imagine throwing on after a swim with a bikini and oversized shirt, wearing to a lazy seaside lunch, or styling with a simple tank and sandals on a sweltering day in the city.
Part of Lucy Williams’s summer capsule collection, they tick every box for me: easy, elevated and endlessly versatile. Unsurprisingly, the cobalt-blue version sold out almost immediately, but the timeless white pair remains—and if previous With Nothing Underneath favourites are anything to go by, I wouldn’t expect that to be the case for much longer.
