Which industries saw the biggest job gains?


The January jobs report saw the US labor market grow by 130,000 non-farm payroll positions in January, double economists’ forecasts of 65,000. Additionally, the report — which was delayed due to the partial government shutdown — saw the unemployment rate tick lower to 4.3% while average hourly wages rose 3.7% year-over-year.

Yahoo Finance Senior Reporter Brooke DiPalma breaks down which industries saw the biggest job gains — including healthcare and construction workers — as well as which sectors saw the biggest monthly losses.
