Penny buns spawn in the Springlands region, aka the starting region in Enshrouded. They only appear in the light forest areas, not in the enshrouded areas (unlike the much larger shroud mushrooms). While they spawn on every green hill around the Ancient Spire in the Springlands, a particularly good farming spot is found at the Harvest Homestead west of the Ancient Spire; you can loot the field for almost 20 penny buns in total.
Penny buns are small, button-shaped brown mushrooms. Due to their size, they can be hard to spot in tall grass. Luckily, there’s a little trick you can use to make your penny bun farming session much easier. Go to settings, click the “display” tab, and scroll down to “small foliage.” Turn this setting off, so you won’t see any shrubbery anymore. The world of Enshrouded will look less fancy, but it’ll be much easier to spot penny buns from a distance.
Penny buns are used in various food recipes in Enshrouded. Most importantly, you need them to craft health potions at the alchemist.
