Vote for the SouthCoast Boys Tennis Player of the Year for 2026


This spring was a solid one for SouthCoast boys tennis teams as Old Rochester went undefeated during the regular season and captured the South Coast Conference championship.

Of the area’s seven tennis teams, Dartmouth, Fairhaven and Old Rochester qualified for the 2026 MIAA playoffs. All four teams lost in the Round of 32 in their respective divisions.

It’s time to shine a spotlight on the SouthCoast athletes that stood out this spring.

Before we announce our super teams, we need more help from our readers to help choose our Player of the Year in each sport. Like our polls from this past winter and fall, the list has been narrowed down to the most elite athletes in the area.

Vote for the SouthCoast High School Boys Tennis Player of the Year below. Reader votes will make up 25% of the tally, with Sports Editor Laurie Los Lee making up the rest of the vote.

Candidates are listed in alphabetical order by school.

Voting will conclude at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30.

Alex Hu, Fairhaven

Hu made the jump from second singles to first singles as a senior and enjoyed a strong campaign, powering the Blue Devils to 14 wins and a berth in the Div. 3 state tournament. Hu went 13-6 at No. 1 singles, earning South Coast Conference All-Star honors.

High Schools: Wareham’s Sage Baptiste commits to play Division 1 college basketball

Subhav Parajuli, Old Rochester

In his first year at No. 1 singles, Parajuli, a junior, went 13-3, including 6-0 against SouthCoast players. He helped the Bulldogs capture an undefeated regular season, a South Coast Conference championship and a berth in the Div. 3 state tournament. Parajuli was named an SCC All-Star.
