Video: Final Fantasy VII Remake Trilogy Series Recap Trailer

Square Enix hosted a panel for Final Fantasy VII Revelation at PAX West 2026 this weekend and it included a recap trailer for the entire remake trilogy.

This once again shows the date for Revelation, which was confirmed earlier this week to be launching on 8th April 2027 for all platforms including the Switch 2.

The panel features director Naoki Hamaguichi and battle director Teruki Endo & runs for close to an hour. Here’s the official description for this event, and you can see the trailer around the 45:30 mark in the video above.

“A special talk featuring Naoki Hamaguchi, director of FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION, and Teruki Endo, battle director, as they look back on the journey of the FINAL FANTASY VII Remake Series and delve into what fans can expect in the final installment, FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION. The developers will share the latest information on the upcoming title—including introductions to new playable characters and details on FITS—making this a conversation fans won’t want to miss!”

Hamaguchi also uploaded the trailer on social media alongside a message about the countdown to the final installment:

“We premiered a special FFVII Remake series recap trailer at our PAX West panel to celebrate the announcement of the release date! The panel had a wonderfully intimate and welcoming atmosphere, and we genuinely had a great time sharing the experience with everyone. It was also a moment that reminded us once again how grateful we are for all the support you’ve given us along the way. As we count down to the release of the final installment, let’s keep the excitement going together!”

You can find out more about Revelation in our coverage from earlier this week. There’ll also be a Story Expansion Pass.
