Vanessa Wallace, Former Chief Marketing Officer of Savage x Fenty, Joins GLD in Similar Role

Vanessa Wallace, former chief marketing officer for Savage x Fenty, has joined GLD, a leading lifestyle jewelry brand, as chief marketing officer.

Wallace will oversee the Miami-based brand’s growth, performance marketing, wholesale marketing and public relations. GLD designs both classic and custom chains, pendants, watches and accessories for men and women.

“Jewelry is one of the most personal forms of self-expressions,” Wallace said. “GLD has authentic roots in culture. The opportunity now is to elevate that foundation creating product, partnerships and experiences that feel fashion-forward while remaining culturally grounded.”

Over the past 10 years, GLD has cultivated a loyal following through officially licensed partnership and high-impact collaborations with professional sports leagues, elite athletes and influential musicians. Through limited-edition drops, codesigned capsules and culturally attuned storytelling across basketball, football and music, the brand has translated moments in sport and sound into wearable expressions of identity.

GLD is backed by MarcyPen Capital Partners, a global investment platform that provides strategic capital to growth-stage consumer businesses that create, move and lead culture.

Wallace has been at Savage x Fenty, Rihanna‘s company, since July 2024. Before that she spent 19 years at Nike, rising to head of brand marketing. During her tenure, she served as head of marketing for Jordan Brand North America, where she expanded the brand’s cultural footprint and launched the North America Jordan Women’s Business.

“From Day One, GLD has been about honoring culture and creating pieces that mean something,” said Christian Johnston, founder and chief executive officer of GLD. “As we continue to grow, it’s critical that our brand evolves with intention. Vanessa understands how to build heat while building lasting brand equity. Her leadership will help define the next chapter of GLD.”

GLD is worn by such names as Micah Parsons, Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant, Paul Pogo, PoloG, Five Foreign and Snoop Dogg. GLD is an official licensing partner of the NBA, NFL, MLB, NCAA, NHL, WNBA and DC Comics.
