Fashion may have the Fendis and the Furstenbergs, but in the wedding industry, the Di Santos are the mother-daughter duo du jour. Now Veronica, daughter of Ines, is stepping out of her mother’s shadow to shine a spotlight on V, a new diffusion line launching for spring 2027.

While she practically grew up at the Ines Di Santo atelier, Veronica officially joined the company in 1999. Over the years she’s worn every hat imaginable, from shop girl and marketing agent to her most recent role as managing partner and her new one as president from April 1.

The idea for V spawned from Veronica’s desire to reposition what was originally Ines by Ines Di Santo. “We felt strongly that this collection had its own voice and point of view,” she said. “With Veronica Di Santo — or V, as we call it — we wanted to create something that speaks directly to the modern bride,” someone she describes as “trend-aware” who “chooses distinctiveness over tradition.”

V will bow on the runway Tuesday evening alongside Ines Di Santo’s mainline, kicking off NYBFW. Playful names define each look, like “The Moment,” an airy tulle A-line gown with pleated godets, or “The Forever” with lace embroidery and a thigh-high slit. 

According to Veronica, the most important lesson she learned from her mother is that the bride is always right. “She approaches design by paying close attention to what makes women feel confident and beautiful,” she said. Bringing that philosophy to V, boleros and bodice tops are interchangeable, allowing customization without the bespoke fees.

Tiered pricing will set the two collections apart with V topping out close to Ines Di Santo’s $6,000 base. Another point of difference will be Veronica’s targeted social media strategy to engage younger clients. Looking forward, she also sees opportunities to expand V beyond the altar, dressing brides for rehearsal dinners, honeymoons and a lifetime of special occasions. “V allows us to explore the needs and desires of today’s consumer and connect to how they’re celebrating,” she added.

As for how mama Ines feels about her daughter following in her footsteps: “It fills my heart with tremendous pride,” she said. “Veronica is my only child, and everything I have built was created with the hope that one day she would be able to carry it forward in her own way.”
