The last few seasons, the Oregon Ducks have been a tight end factory for the NFL. In the 2025 NFL Draft, the Ducks had a tight end taken in the second round by the Los Angeles Rams, Terrance Ferguson. In the 2026 draft, the Ducks had the best tight end prospect selected with the 16th pick, Kenyon Sadiq. This next draft should be no different. In a recent article, Brad Crawford views the Ducks’ starting tight end this season, Jamari Johnson, as a top weapon in the country. Here is what he had to say about Johnson:

“For Oregon tight end Jamari Johnson, the physical tools have always been obvious, but opportunity is finally catching up. At 6-foot-6 with soft hands and natural body control, he gives the Ducks a mismatch option who can stress linebackers and safeties alike. Johnson’s expanded role in the passing game following Kenyon Sadiq’s NFL entry could turn him into a reliable red-zone and seam threat.”

Ducks will still have that athletic tight end who will give any defender problems in coverage, in Jemari Johnson. Johnson last season tallied 510 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns. Jemari Johnson will be fully unlocked in the Ducks’ offense this season, and his numbers could even top what Sadiq posted last season.
