The USMNT will be hoping to build on its promising weekend win on Tuesday as the team faces a friendly clash against Chile, which is looking to make up for an ill-disciplined showing in its last game.

Head coach Mauricio Pochettino handed eight teenagers their senior debuts on Saturday and was rewarded with a convincing 4-1 win over Peru. Youngsters Justin Ellis and Julian Hall were both among the goal scorers.

USA now faces an opponent that it’s failed to beat in their last three meetings, with its last victory over Chile a 2-1 friendly win in Coquimbo back in 2000, in a match that saw Cobi Jones score a late winner.

Currently ranked No. 49 in the world standings, the Chileans come into this match off the back of a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Canada in Toronto on Saturday. La Roja ended that match with nine players after picking up two red cards midway through the game.

The USMNT takes on Chile at Energizer Park in St. Louis on Tuesday, Sept. 29. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT local time in Missouri. That makes it an 8 p.m. ET or 5 p.m. PT start elsewhere in the US and Canada.
