President Donald Trump says the fragile ceasefire is still in effect even as attacks escalate between the United States and Iran in the Strait of Hormuz. U.S. Central Command said Iran fired missiles and launched drones at three American destroyers, calling the attacks “unprovoked.” They also said U.S. forces responded with self defense strikes targeting military facilities and drone launch sites in Iran. Iran says it was the U.S. who fired first and that its attacks were defensive. NBC’s Matt Bradley reports and Kristen Welker, moderator of Meet the Press, joins TODAY with analysis.
