UK, EDF Reach Deal to Extend Life of Sizewell B Nuclear Plant


Sizewell B, which began generating electricity in 1995, can power about 1 million homes and remains one of the UK’s most important sources of low-carbon baseload generation. The extension remains subject to regulatory approval and ongoing safety assessments, with a final agreement expected later this year, Bloomberg previously reported.
