Following its buzzy collaboration with Willy Chavarria in September, Ugg is back with another designer shoe offering for fall.
On Monday, the Deckers Brands-owned footwear company revealed its debut collaboration with designer Jonathan Anderson and his namesake fashion label JW Anderson.
The new unisex collection updates two of Ugg’s signature shoe silhouettes, the Classic Boot and the Tasman. Both styles merge the brand mainstays with Anderson’s playful use of the straddle strap detail most commonly used on penny loafers.
The result is the new the Ugg x JW Anderson Loafer Boot and the Ugg x JW Anderson Loafer. Both shoe models are offered in three colorways — “Chestnut,” “Khaki” and “Orange” — and feature a rounded toe, box-stitching and the saddle strap detail across the vamp.
Anderson said in a statement on Monday that Ugg boots are “instantly recognizable” and that he was “interested in seeing something so familiar through the lens of JW Anderson.”
“For me, collaboration is about experimentation, bringing two distinct points of view together and seeing where that leads,” Anderson added. “We’ve explored the loafer extensively at JW Anderson, not only as footwear but also through their details applied to bags and ready-to-wear. I wanted to see how that language could translate into Ugg.”

To launch the collaboration, Ugg and JW Anderson tapped British singer-songwriter and record producer Dev Hynes to star in a new campaign. According to Ugg, the campaign is aimed at celebrating “the beauty and range of everyday ritual,” with the collaboration serving as its protagonist.
“Set within a home environment, the familiar becomes slightly unexpected,” Ugg stated when referring to the new campaign. “Rather than treating the home as a backdrop, the campaign looks at the rituals that happen within it: getting dressed, moving from one room to another, sitting, standing, leaving, and returning.”
Ugg added that Hynes, who is also known as Blood Orange, “embodies the ethos of the collaboration,” and that his “boundary-pushing creativity and unconventional point of view” help to show how the silhouettes “move between the ordinary and the extraordinary.”

The new Ugg x JW Anderson collaboration, which retails between $300 and $400, will be available on Ugg.com, Jwanderson.com, at select Ugg and JW Anderson retail locations globally, as well as at select pinnacle retailers worldwide, including The Webster, Lane Crawford, and Selfridges, starting Oct. 15.
This isn’t the first time Anderson has teamed up with footwear brands on a shoe collaboration. Earlier this year, JW Anderson joined forces with Diadora to update its Equipe trainer, which was originally created by the Italian shoe brand in 1975 for elite athletes.
In 2023, Anderson joined forces with Wellipets on a pair of rubber clogs that featured a frog’s face on the upper’s toe. Featured in an array of colors, the style was first seen on the designer’s fall/winter 2023 runway show at Milan Men’s Fashion Week.

Aside from Wellipets, Anderson was in a long-term partnership with Converse that began in 2017. In a series of several drops, the duo created memorable takes on the classic Chuck 70 and the Run Star Hike featuring a chunky platform.
As for Ugg, it recently launched its first collaboration with Willy Chavarria. The collection, which FN first previewed ahead of the designer’s spring/summer 2027 runway show in June, featured five unisex footwear styles — the Ugg x Willy Chavarria Guard Boot, Biker Boot, Relaxed Boot, Otzo clog and Hotel Chavarria slipper — alongside a collaborative “Hug It” T-shirt and a pair of socks.
The launch campaign for the collection was star-studded, too. Actress Eva Longoria starred alongside actor Danny Trejo, musician Becky G, and singer-songwriter Ivan Cornejo in a campaign aimed at capturing the spirit of a contemporary Latino family, loosely inspired by the hit ‘90s sitcom “Married… with Children.”
Over the years, Ugg has also released collaborations with Sacai, Ambush, Palace, Telfar, Hidden NY, Jeremy Scott and many more.
