A shooting at a Chicago hospital left two police officers injured, one in critical condition, on Saturday morning, officials said.
Multiple shots were fired, Andre Vasquez, the alderperson for the city’s 40th Ward, said on social media. A person was arrested in connection with the shooting by Saturday afternoon, he said.
The status of the other officer was not immediately clear. It was not immediately known who opened fire on the officers.
The shooting happened at Endeavor Health Swedish Hospital at around 11 a.m., Endeavor Health said on social media.
The hospital, which was on lockdown on Saturday afternoon, said there was no active threat to patients or hospital staff.
