Multiple games have already been delisted from the eShop in 2026, and the latest one to reportedly go missing is the comedy adventure Trover Saves The Universe.

Developer Squanch Games (also known for High On Life), founded by Rick & Morty co-creator Justin Roiland, has apparently shared no notice about the removal of the 2019 release. However, there does seem to be some evidence on Steam database ‘SteamDB’, which shows the following line “app_retired_publisher_request”, suggesting it’s game over.

Nintendo Everything also notes how the game is “mostly gone” from the studio’s website, but is still featured in the navigation bar. So that’s the situation for now! When this title originally debuted on the Switch, we said it was a “surprisingly fun little game” while admitting the humour might not be everybody’s tastes:

“The core gameplay is extremely strong by itself, your appreciation for their style of comedy will ultimately determine whether or not you see this one through to the end. But for us, this was a hilarious twist on the puzzle-platformer genre which we can highly recommend for anybody looking for something a bit more weird and twisted.”

Some other games removed from the Switch eShop in 2026 include Star Trek: Legends in August, Cruis’n Blast in July, LEGO 2K Drive in May, Star Trek: Resurgence in April, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games in March, and Jurassic Park: Classic Games Collection in February.
