Seven years after Toy Story 4 took viewers on a road trip with little Bonnie and her franchise-favorite toys, Toy Story 5 arrived in theaters this past June. The smash-hit animated Pixar film is due to hit Disney Plus in September, and ahead of its streaming release, a video from the movie’s soundtrack, Taylor Swift’s I Knew It, I Knew You, has arrived on the platform.

This time around, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Rex and the rest of the gang find themselves competing with technology in the form of Lilypad, Bonnie’s new tablet. The device has a mind of its own, and one of the movie’s themes is tech versus imagination, and loneliness versus trying to fit in with a crowd. That means 8-year-old Bonnie’s story is taken outside of her usual surroundings into school, and into a playdate or two with a new character named Blaze. New toys, new challenges and new acquaintances await everyone (including fans) in Toy Story 5.

Toy Story 5 streaming release date

You’ll be able to watch Toy Story 5 on Disney Plus when it lands on Wednesday, Sept. 23. All the other films in the franchise and its spinoff content are also available on the streaming service. And don’t forget, starting today, you can watch the Taylor Swift video for the piano version of her song, I Knew It, I Knew You on Disney Plus, Spotify or Apple Music.
