As fervor around the U.S. Open ramps up this week, even Toms is getting in on the action.
On Wednesday, the footwear brand said it will launch a new limited-edition tennis collection inspired by the color and texture of the tennis ball. Dubbed the “Tennis Alpargata,” Toms noted that the shoe aims to bring a “sense of humor” to the tennis-core trend with a style mimicking the ball.
Made with fluorescent yellow felt uppers, the shoe also features bonded tape detailing, court net-inspired mesh panels and perforated leather footbeds in court blue. Across the women’s silhouette, embroidered tennis players rally back and forth. And even the packaging gets in on the game, with each pair arriving in an oversized, collectible tennis ball-inspired canister.
In conjunction with the collection, Toms noted that it’s partnering with Black Girls Tennis Club to support clinics in New York’s Central Park that aim to “inspire confidence, build community and increase access to the sport for the next generation of players.”

The launch follows the February launch of Toms’ 20th anniversary collection and campaign starring Hannah Bromfman and her family. In the spot, Bronfman, her husband Brendan Fallis and their two children are featured modeling the new collection in “The Joy We Share” campaign, shot at the beach in sunny Malibu, Calif.
In December, Toms welcomed former Crocs and Hey Dude executive Katie Wagner as chief commercial officer. The move came about two months after Jessica Alsing became the brand’s first female chief executive officer in October.
The limited-edition Tennis Alpargata collection, which retail for $125, will be available beginning Thursday, Aug. 27, exclusively on Toms.com and TikTok Shop.
