The iconic yellow Premium 6-inch Waterproof Boot may be Timberland’s bread and butter, but it’s far from the only version of the beloved boot the outdoor footwear brand has issued over the years. One such shade, a Concrete Gray colorway from the 1990s, has just returned to retail, and pairs are still available as of publishing. 

The Timberland Heritage 6-inch Waterproof Boot in Concrete Gray (aka Cement Gray) is available now from the brand’s e-commerce store. The boot is a direct reference to the brand’s archival Concrete Gray style from the ‘90s, which arrived at a time when Timberland began experimenting with more city-inspired lifestyle colorways, or “ blurring the lines between outdoor function and streetwear style” as the brand describes it.

The colorway is relatively no frills, replacing the boot’s classic wheat nubuck upper with a Medium Greyout nubuck. The cool gray shade covers the entirety of the boot including the padded heel collar, which uses a suede material instead of the boot’s typical black leather. The only deviation from the Concrete Gray shade is at the outsole, where Timberland’s classic rubber lug configuration delivers both durability and traction.

But Timberland didn’t stop at outfitting the Heritage 6-inch Waterproof Boot in the retro colorway. The shade also appears on the men’s Euro Hiker and men’s Heritage Clog, while women can shop the Stone Street Platform Boat Shoe, Stone Street Platform 6-Inch Boot and Premium Convertible Clog. 

Although the Premium 6-inch Waterproof Boot has been less visible in recent months as sandals and sneakers took over the summer, readers can expect to see plenty of the classic lace-up in the coming months. Already confirmed is a reissue of the brand’s popular Diamond Plate collaboration with Supreme, and there’s sure to be more special projects announced as the weather continues to shift.
