If you frequently turn to TikTok for travel inspiration, the social media app is adding an actionable option for these experiences. TikTok announced on Tuesday that it’s launching a new feature called TikTok Go, which connects you to hotels, attractions, tours and other experiences and lets you book them directly through the app.
To access TikTok Go, you need to scroll through videos featuring travel, dining out and local activities. You’ll then be able to view details, check availability and complete bookings straight through the app.
To make this addition possible, TikTok formed partnerships with travel sites such as Booking.com, Expedia, Viator, GetYourGuide, Tiqets and Trip.com. This will “turn those ‘I wish I were there’ moments into real stays with TikTok Go,” said Booking.com VP of Partnerships, Mark van der Linden.
“Every day on TikTok, millions of people discover where to eat, where to stay, and what to do next. TikTok Go connects that moment of inspiration directly to the businesses behind it,” said TikTok USDS Joint Venture CEO Adam Presser in a statement.
This feature will only be available to TikTok users aged 18 or older.
This isn’t the first time TikTok has introduced a feature that connects users with outside vendors. In 2023, TikTok launched TikTok Shop, which lets you buy products from brands directly on the platform.
