This CNET-Favorite TCL 4K TV Just Hit Its Lowest Price Ever

Save $1,002: TCL’s new 65-inch QM8L is now available at just $1,498 at Amazon. This is the lowest price we’ve seen on the brand-new 2026 model – also a CNET-favorite – making it a tempting pick for those waiting for a 4K TV upgrade. Amazon isn’t the only retailer offering a price cut, though. Walmart also has it for $1,498, while Best Buy is selling it for $1,500.

TCL QM8L 65-inch TV: $1,498 (Original price: $2,500)

Originally priced at a hefty $2,500, the TCL QM8L is now 40% off, saving you a massive $1,002. Keepa says it’s an all-time low. CNET expert Ty Pendlebury reviewed the TCL QM8L and gave it a very impressive 8.8 score.

According to Pendlebury, the TCL QM8L is “one of the few TVs that’s demonstrably better than its predecessor. Picture quality is once again top-notch for an LED TV, and it’s also one of the brightest TVs ever produced. If you want the best LED TV for your money in 2026, this is it.”

If you’re tired of looking at dull colors on your current TV, the TCL QM8L’s SQD mini-LED display delivers a punchy brightness, while the Ultra Color Filter makes everything from wildlife documentaries to superhero movies look more lifelike.

Not sure which picture mode to pick? The AI will adjust the visuals and sound to match what’s on screen. The built-in Gemini interactive AI gives you a more personalized experience. And if you’re into gaming, Pendlebury said, “the brightness of the TCL really helped improve immersion.” He also noted that gaming responsiveness has also improved on this new model.

If you’re looking for a bigger TV, then according to Pendlebury, “the 75-inch QM8L costs just $200 more than the 65-inch model, making it well worth the upgrade if you have the space.” It’s available at a discounted price of $1,698. The 85-inch model is down to $2,798 ($1,202 less than its original $4,000) and the 98-inch model is now available for $4,498, down from its listed $6,000.

If you’ve been planning a TV upgrade, the QM8L is available at a very good discount right now. However, you may also want to consider LG C6 OLED. According to Pendlebury, it offers better contrast at the same price. And it’s down to $1,600, $400 less than its usual $2,000 price.
