Light Blue Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max on a CNET background

Apple is the obvious choice if you’re hoping to grab the iPhone 18 Pro or Pro Max on day one, and it’s already offering a chance to get your hands on one for less. An eligible trade-in could knock up to $885 off. The latest iPhones will net you the biggest discounts, but phones from Google and Samsung are also accepted. You’ll also get 3% cash back when you purchase with your Apple Card.*

Plus, you can save even more if you’re also looking to sign up with a carrier. A trade-in could save you up to $1,200 when activating the phone through AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon, which can potentially put the basic iPhone 18 Pro in your pocket for free.

T-Mobile has a ton of offers to help you snag a new iPhone 18 for less right now. If you’re on an Experience Beyond plan, an eligible trade-in or new line and port-in of an existing number can save you up to $1,200. That puts the basic iPhone 18 Pro in your pocket for free, and knocks the 18 Pro Max down to just $3 per month.

That same deal will knock up to $930 off if you’re on an Experience More plan, and those on most other plans can save up to $730 with both a new line and trade-in. Just a trade-in can save you up to $300 as well, and T-Mobile also has tons of special offers for military members, first responders and people aged 55 or older.

Save up to $1,200 with trade-in or new line

An eligible trade-in could potentially put the iPhone 18 Pro in your pocket for free right now at AT&T. You’ll get up to $1,200 for any device valued at $180 or more, which drops the basic 256GB model to $0, and the iPhone 18 Pro Max down to just $3 per month. Plus, you can still get up to $930 off for devices valued at $130 or more, and even old and damaged devices worth at least $35 can still net you up to $350 in savings.

You’ll also get an extra $200 off with the activation of a new line, as long as you place the order online. And AT&T will even chip in up to $800 to help you pay off what you currently owe on your old device if you’re switching over from another carrier.

Or you can get a free NFL Sunday Ticket subscription with the purchase, but these two offers can’t be combined.
