There’s blood in the water around the immigration minister: Ivison


The Immigration Department said that 549,000 student visas expired in 2024. While 93 per cent (509,500) were allowed to stay in Canada, it said 39,500 should no longer be in the country because they did not have immigration status. CBSA confirmed that around 16,000 individuals left the country, but that means 23,500 did not and their whereabouts are unknown.
