There’s a Styx: Blades of Greed demo available to try now

Styx: Blades of Greed is probably one of my most anticipated games this year, so I am pleased to let you know that there is now a demo available to try out.

This demo will give you the chance to play the first hour of Styx: Blades of Greed, which (I am 99 percent sure) will plop you down at The Wall. This is one of the areas I got to explore during a preview session with developer Cyanide last year.

While this Styx: Blades of Greed demo is only available to try out on Steam, the game itself will be launching across PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, as well as PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. As for when, that would be 19th February, so in a little over a month’s time.

Cyanide has said that demo save data will be transferable to the full version on Blades of Greed’s release. If this all sounds good to you, you can check out the demo via Steam now.

As well as this nugget of demo news, the studio has also released a new trailer for Styx: Blades of Greed, which hands narrative duties over to Styx himself. Here, the caustic goblin explains his love of Quartz (a powerful and precious substance), as well as showing off some of his new gear such as the glider.

You can check it out below.

Blades of Greed all kicks off after the events of Styx: Shards of Darkness, though the developer has said you won’t need to have played any of the previous entries to still enjoy the upcoming release.

Like I said already, I got to go hands-on with Styx: Blades of Greed last year, and while I wasn’t very good at it (in fact, I was terrible), I had an absolute blast playing as the titular goblin and causing all sorts of chaos for those that got in my way.
