The most prestigious team event in women’s golf gets underway on Friday at the Bernardus Golf Course in the Netherlands, as Team USA takes on Europe’s best in the 20th Solheim Cup.

The United States will be looking to defend its crown after winning the 2024 edition of the biennial tournament on home turf at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia, where Rose Zhang inspired the hosts to a 15 1.2-12 1/2 victory.

USA’s team is captained by Angela Stanford, and its hopes appear to largely rest on the form of world No. 1 Nelly Korda. Europe, which is captained by Anna Nordqvist, boasts English rising star Lottie Woad and world No. 8 Charley Hull.

The 2026 Solheim Cup takes place at the Bernardus Golf course in the Netherlands from Friday, Sept. 11, until Sunday, Sept. 13.
