MILAN
A New Culinary Experience at Bulgari Hotel Milano

The Bulgari Hotel in Milan has introduced a new culinary and design concept, Da Niko, which revisits the previous Il Ristorante — Niko Romito, launched a decade ago with the namesake Michelin-starred chef. Here, he aims to express “a more convivial dimension,” without compromising quality. He is encouraging sharing with the menu, which includes tableside preparations from the trolley of: catch of the day, milk-fed Milanese veal cutlet, and traditional Piedmontese fried chicken with roasted potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
Da Niko was redesigned by ACPV Architects Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel. Serving around 100 guests, cozy green sofas and tables in different sizes pepper the restaurant with armchairs designed by Philippe Starck for Driade in soft leather. The walls are adorned with six large mirrors framed in willow, created by artist Emy Petrini. At the heart of the dining room stands La Venatoria, a rare Richard Ginori vase from the late 1920s.

Caviar rose to the fore as a delicacy by Russian czars amid the opulence of the 19th and early 20th century, around the same time Italian jeweler Buccellati was born. In September, the family-run firm unveiled Caviar Bar at its Milan showroom in Palazzo Gavazzi, where Buccellati jewels glimmer among Chahan Minassian’s interior designs and vice versa.
After the Armenian Lebanese interior designer enhanced the firm’s Piano Nobile in 2024, he’s extended the relationship by creating a new space that draws inspiration from one of the most emblematic expressions of Buccellati’s Art de la Table universe: the Caviar collection, distinguished by its signature micro-beaded motif and the exceptional silversmithing craftsmanship that defines its identity. The location is reserved for private clients and events.

With the debut, Giunta unveiled his very first signature cocktail list, created by mixologist Daniele Zandri. The drinks are inspired by the characters and atmospheres detailed in Alessandro Manzoni’s 19th century novel, “The Betrothed.” Among the new creations are Busìa, a low-alcohol drink inspired by the Americano and dedicated to leading character Gertrude, the Nun of Monza.
