The final Super Mario Galaxy Movie trailer is here, with Luis Guzman’s Wart joining the fray

The final trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is here. As announced last week, and in anticipation of Mario Day (March 10th – Mar10), this evening Nintendo hosted a Direct dedicated to its upcoming film sequel.

Along with heroes like Mario, Luigi, Peach and Rosalina, the new trailer also gives us a look at some of the Mushroom Kingdom’s more dastardly faces. Yep, as we glimpsed in official artwork last week, Wart will be making their wicked return in the upcoming movie, alongside Birdo and the black-clad Ninjis, with Wednesday actor Luis Guzman voicing the frog-like villain. Oh, and Yoshi is voiced by Donald Glover, while Issa Rae voices Honey Queen.

“It takes a lot of star power to save the galaxy,” the trailer blurb teases. You can check out the final trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie below.

But while that’s it from Nintendo – at least in terms of film teasers – the Super Mario Galaxy Movie team may still have some tricks left up its sleeve. You see, along with the already confirmed characters, a recent cinema listing may have accidentally let slip another face that could well pop up in the sequel alongside Mario and co.

Whatever happens, there isn’t too much longer until we will know for sure. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is set to release in cinemas next month, on 1st April (not fooling).

Away from movie adaptations, Nintendo will likely announce some more game-related news tomorrow, when Mario Day actually kicks off. Based on an image Nintendo accidently shared online last week, one such announcement is probably going to be an update to Mario Kart World’s Battle mode.

Elsewhere, Nintendo is suing the US government over the tariffs enacted by the Trump administration which the US Supreme Court later deemed unconstitutional.
