Ruby red was the name of the game for Teyana Taylor’s latest Tom Ford look in Las Vegas.

The newly minted Golden Globe winner attended the grand opening of Gymkhana Las Vegas at Aria Resort & Casino on Friday in Tom Ford’s Patent Leather Ankle Strap Sandal in Ruby Red, a barely-there, high-shine style that kept the focus on line and hardware. The open-toe sandal paired a slim toe strap with a second, slightly higher strap that crossed the foot on a diagonal.

A double ankle-strap detail wrapped the ankle in two narrow patent bands, each finished with a small buckle, while a tortoiseshell-effect stiletto delivered a sharp contrast against the sandal’s ruby upper and dark sole.

Tom Ford’s Leather Duchesse Biker Coat in the same ruby red handled the rest of the look, matching the shoes’ gloss while shifting the texture into a reptile-like embossing. The coat carried a structured, moto-coded silhouette and a midi length that kept the footwear fully visible on the green carpet. Oversize shield sunglasses with red-tinted lenses and stacked silver jewelry finished the look.

The head-to-toe Ford moment connected directly back to Haider Ackermann’s first collection for the house, staged in Paris in March 2025. Backstage, Ackermann told reporters, “I hope I seduced you.” The designer also described the brand’s fixation in plain terms: “The house of Ford is all about vanity.” Those ideas played out in a collection that mixed sharp leather sportswear with high-gloss pieces, including what Booth Moore described in her review for WWD as a “siren-red snakeskin coat” paired with a lacquered lip.

Taylor’s footwear choices run the gamut. At the beginning of the month, she wore Saint Laurent thigh-high boots from the label’s fall 2025 menswear collection to the Critics Choice Awards, and in early December she rotated through Chanel’s spring 2026 two-tone pumps during a week of Matthieu Blazy-era runway pulls in New York.
