A day after the federal government provided more details on Canada’s plan to roll out new countertariffs on a wide range of U.S. imports while simultaneously boosting support for businesses and workers dealing with the latest round of White House-imposed levies on Canadian goods, International Trade Minister Maninder Sidhu is set to join Ontario Premier Doug Ford, his municipal affairs minister Rob Flack, Vaughan Mayor — and one-time provincial Liberal leader — Steven Del Duca and  local Liberal MP Jennifer McKelvie for a mid-morning infrastructure reveal in Vaughan, Ont. (10:30 a.m.)

Later this afternoon, Flack will join another Team Carney front bencher, Secretary of State (Canada Revenue Agency) Wayne Long, as well as former Ontario New Democrat leader turned Hamilton Mayor Andrea Horwath and Hamilton-area Liberal Liberal MP John-Paul Danko for a second infrastructure reveal. Elsewhere in the Greater Toronto Area, Secretary of State (Sport) Adam van Koeverden teams up with his cabinet colleague — and fellow GTA-area Liberal MP — Ruby Sahota, as well as Athletics Canada officials, to unveil what the advisory is billing as a “major investment in local sport infrastructure” in Bolton, Ont. (11 a.m.)

Moving west, Industry Minister Mélanie Joly and Calgary-area Liberal MP Corey Hogan will share the details of fresh federal funding earmarked for the Canadian Agri-Food Automation and Intelligence Network, which, according to the notice, will “strengthen Canada’s agrifood sector.” (9 a.m. MT)

Later today, Emergency Management Minister Eleanor Olszewski teams up with a full contingent of provincial and local officials, including Forestry Minister Todd Lowen, Northern Lights County Reeve Terry Ungarian, Peace River Mayor Shelly Shannon and Mercer International CEO Juan Carlos Bueno to outline new federal support for “Northern Alberta’s forestry sector that is facing significant tariff related challenges,” as the advisory notes, during a site visit to the Mercer Peace River pulp mill. Making the rounds even further west: Secretary of State (Seniors) Stephanie McLean, who is booked in for a morning appearance at the South Granville Seniors Friendship Centre Society to announce new federal support for 12 Vancouver-area projects, with local Liberal MP Taleeb Noormohamed also expected to be in attendance. Rounding out the roster, Transport Minister Steven MacKinnon drops by the Prince Rupert Airport to promote new federal funding for “critical infrastructure for airports” throughout the province. (3:30 p.m. PT)

Also on the radar: Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne welcomes his Indian counterpart, Nirmala Sitharaman, as he embarks on a two-day visit to Canada that “will provide an opportunity for both ministers to strengthen economic and financial cooperation between Canada and India, discuss shared priorities for promoting sustainable economic growth and investment, and exchange views on global economic developments,” according to the advisory.

Representatives of the Palestinian Students and Scholars at Risk Network and the Canadian Federation of Students host a Zoom briefing to highlight a newly released letter that calls on the prime minister “to address the racist delays, denials and interrogations of Gazan graduate students admitted to Canadian universities.” (10 a.m.)
