Capcom has released a gameplay trailer for its next DLC character: Arjun. An Indian fighter and framed policeman on the run, he’ll be coming to the popular fighting game next month.
This trailer, which you can watch below, follows the norm established by prior SF6 trailers by going through each of his normal and special moves, before delving into fancy looking combos and supers. Aside from being a bulky brawler, Arjun has power over both wind and earth, using both elements to his advantage.
He also pulls off some excellent looking poses as part of his level three super art, a reference to Bollywood choreography. In the character bio found on the Street Fighter 6 website, Bollywood is listed as one of his likes alongside fossil hunting. Undercooked Biryani, it seems, is something he is not a fan of.
Arjun will be coming to Street Fighter 6 on the 13th October as part of the game’s fourth seasonal character pass. He comes after Yasmine, another wholly new character introduced to the Street Fighter series. The next two are of particular interest though, as Tifa from Final Fantasy 7 is set to join the roster in early 2027, while the (formerly dead) SF6 story mode character Bosch will be capping off the pass next Spring.
Street Fighter 6 in general continues to be quite the performer for Capcom. A recent financial report from the company earlier this year reported record sales for the series, while new releases like Resident Evil: Requiem and Pragmata also exceeded expectations. Capcom seems to be in such a good spot, that it’s looking to explore its back catalogue of hibernating game franchises.
