CONQ: Crown of No Quarter

CONQ: Crown of No Quarter was revealed with its first trailer, introducing a new warfare experience set in a shared open world. Players can lead armies across land and sea, storm enemy strongholds, build siege engines, and fight for their faction in large-scale battles. 

Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown

The massive action adventure from Pearl Abyss is getting even larger with Charting the Unknown, a mammoth expansion arriving on PlayStation Store October 15. The above trailer, captured on PS5 Pro, gives you a taste of the rich gameplay variety that awaits as Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane set out to discover their purpose and shape their futures. 

Daba: Land of Water Scar

Daba: Land of Water Scar, developed by Dark Star Games as part of PlayStation’s China Hero Project, is coming to PS5 in Spring 2027. A new trailer gives us another look at its fantastical world, where players take on the role of a clayman journeying across a land where the waters have run dry. 

Digimon Time Stranger: A Hero’s Eternal Legacy

Digimon Story Time Stranger: A Hero’s Eternal Legacy is a new expansion DLC coming to PS5 in 2027. Taking place three years after the main game, it introduces a new protagonist and partner, along with around 50 new Digimon. 

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 comes to PS5 in 2027. Today’s State of Play trailer offers a look at this new Dragon Ball adventure, where players can create their own hero, develop their own fighting style, and take on powerful opponents. 

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World

A new trailer for Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World offered another look at its two young Monster Wranglers and the monsters they befriend as they journey through a mysterious alternate world. The game launches December 3 on PS5.

Echoes of Aincrad: Sword Art Online – Genesis Maidens

Genesis Maiden, the first DLC for Sword Art Online: Echoes of Aincrad, arrives this winter. The expansion features a new story set on the early floors of Aincrad, with Mito joining the fight alongside new gameplay additions. 

Fate/Extra Record

Fate/Extra Record is now confirmed to launch on January 28, 2027, for PS5 and PS4. A new trailer shows off more of the full remake, including its expanded take on the Moon Holy Grail War and the revamped deck-building Command Card battle system, which adds a new strategic twist to combat.

Final Fantasy Resonance

Alongside a fresh look at the HD-2D action you’ll experience on October 22, you’ll find two big announcements for Final Fantasy Resonance in today’s State of Play trailer. First, the legendary One-Winged Angel Sephiroth makes his undeniable presence known to players, who will be able to find and challenge him in the hopes of winning and unlocking a special reward. Second: the entire first chapter of the game is available on PlayStation Store today as pre-orders go live, with the demo’s save data carrying over to the full game.

Final Fantasy VII Revelation

Mark your calendars, as Square Enix’s ambitious three-part remake project of its legendary RPG concludes next year. Final Fantasy VII Revelation launches April 8, 2027 on PS5. It’s a momentous occasion, so it’s fitting that the game closes out today’s State of Play with an extensive deep dive into its expanded world, as exploration stretches from the Highwind in the skies above to using grapple guns and chocobos to navigate the towns and landscapes below. Get a feel for the FITS combat system and powerful synergies.

Ghost of Yōtei

Atsu’s hunt is not over. Releasing October 1 as part of the game’s Complete Edition is Most Wanted, a brand-new combat survival mode designed to gauge your strength and test your resilience. Fight off waves of enemies and take on challenging new boss encounters. All sorts of new incentives await; earn everything from new weapons and cosmetics to playable characters you can unlock.

State of Play Japan treats us to a new trailer of the Echoes of Sekigahara expansion, which delves into Atsu’s past and her experiences during the Battle of Sekigahara. During the show we hear from Atsu’s Japanese voice actor, Fairouz Ai, to talk about her approach to the character, memorable moments from the role, and returning as Atsu for this new chapter. Echoes of Sekigahara arrives October 1 as part of the Complete Edition.

Gran Turismo 7

As the franchise revs towards its 30th anniversary, it’s rolling out a two-part Spec IV update out later this year. Two new circuits, 12 cars, modes and more, split between October and December launches. This two-pronged drop includes Online Drift Trials (test your control, precision, and style, Shuffle Races (changing the conditions of each race) and a Family mode, welcoming players with different levels of driving experience to the community.

Grand Theft Auto VI Limited Edition DualSense Wireless Controllers

Two new limited edition DualSense wireless controllers inspired by Grand Theft Auto VI captures that unmistakable Vice City energy. The DualSense Wireless Controller – Grand Theft Auto VI Black Limited Edition and DualSense Wireless Controller – Grand Theft Auto VI White Limited Edition launch November 19, with pre-orders opening September 10. Grand Theft Auto VI launches on PS5 November 19.

Gundam Rogue Orbit

Hard-hitting combat is the focus of a new Gundam Rogue Orbit trailer debuting in State of Play, which also revealed that the game will launch on March 5, 2027. Gundam Rogue Orbit producer Yuya Tomiyama also joins State of Play Japan to talk about the game’s fast-paced Gundam combat and deep customization. He shares more about the newly revealed weapon types and Tactical Skills, as well as how different mobile suit parts can change the way your Gundam moves and fights. Players can also customize their unit’s colors or equip a MOD Skin to take on the iconic look of the RX-78-2 Gundam. 

Hunter’s Moon

Hunter’s Moon is a first-person historical folk horror game, set throughout one night, and it’s haunting PS5 October 25. Inspired by the true history of English witch hunts, let the secrets of a dysfunctional village on the brink unfold as you embody an accused woman on the run for her life. You are searching for safety. You must not be seen. Under the light of the full moon, eavesdrop on villagers, and flee through a rural village set in an immersive 17th century early modern England. Meet mummers dressed in folk costumes, and escape capture by the witch hunters.

Keeper

From Double Fine Productions, Keeper is a beautiful and surreal third-person, atmospheric, puzzle adventure, and a story told without words. On an island in a long-lost sea, a forgotten lighthouse stands dormant in the shadow of a distant mountain peak. As withering tendrils spread and coalesce, it awakens. Taken with a mysterious sense of purpose and joined by a spirited seabird, it embarks upon a heartening tale of unlikely companionship, an odyssey of mystifying metamorphosis, and an unexpected journey towards the center of the island, into realms beyond understanding. The illuminating adventure launches today on PS5.

LEGO PlayStation set

For the first time, players and LEGO fans will be able to create a LEGO replica of the original PlayStation console and PlayStation controller. Brick by brick, this 1,911-piece set represents a near 1:1 scale of the console, measuring 10.5 inches / 26 cm wide when fully assembled. This all-new collaboration with LEGO launches October 1.

Maneater 2

Play an unintended, and definitively deadly, underwater attraction let loose in an ultra-luxury private island theme park in this splash-hit sequel, chomping onto PS5 next year. For the owners, it’s an invite-only preview event to provide aquatic and technological excess to visitors. For the man-eating bull shark that you are, it’s a chance to eat, explore and evolve your way to freedom.

Marvel’s Wolverine

Marvel’s Wolverine is slashing its way onto PlayStation 5 in just under two weeks! We’re kicking off the countdown with a brand-new Launch Trailer, fresh out of today’s State of Play. Enjoy a deeper slice of the interplay between Logan and his allies, which includes the powerful telekinetic Jean Grey and the members of Team X. Also get a glimpse of new friends and foes that’ll bring intrigue and action to Marvel’s Wolverine when it launches globally on September 15, 2026!

Metro 2039

4A Games reveals the survival shooter’s first PS5 Pro gameplay. Experience a shocking Metro adventure in a powerful single-player story that weaves exploration, survival, combat and stealth across a hauntingly beautiful-but-deadly world. Join the mysterious Stranger as he journeys into the dark heart of post-apocalyptic Moscow in a harrowing conflict for the very soul of the Metro. Metro 2039 launches on PS5 February 4, 2027.

Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance

Hunters, saddle up. The Wilds evolve with the massive expansion, Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, launching on PS5 in 2027. A giant dragon’s sudden siege heralds change in the Forbidden Lands, for both land and sky. Bracing for danger, the Expedition steels themselves as familiar and undiscovered Elder Dragons emerge – and a disturbing new threat prowls the land. New monsters and challenges, evolved hunting actions and mechanics, a new locale, and the next chapter in the Expedition Team’s story await. 

Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance producer Ryozo Tsujimoto also joins State of Play Japan to share more about the new Skybound Eyrie area, the new Boost Action, and the Elder Dragons hunters players will encounter, including the newly revealed Gundoraja. Players can get their first hands-on with Ascendance at Tokyo Game Show 2026, where a demo featuring a hunt against the new monster Arakeeta will be playable.

PlayStation Plus 

Four games were announced for PlayStation Plus at the show. Mycopunk is a hyper customizable co-op looter shooter for 1-4 players, launching into Game Catalog later this year. You and your squad of ramshackle robots are sent to clean up a fungus-infected planet. Take down and loot mechanical monstrosities and build new weapons. Then coming to PlayStation Plus Premium Classics this year are Mega Man X: Command Mission (in September), and both Dino Crisis 2 and the original Ratchet & Clank*. 

Rematch

Rematch is teaming up with Blue Lock for a new collaboration launching September 24 on PS5, bringing Blue Lock’s Egoists to Sloclap’s online multiplayer football game. 

Resident Evil 

Opening State of Play was a new look at the Resident Evil film from Zach Cregger (Barbarian, Weapons). Coming to cinemas September 18, this all new story sees medical courier Bryan attempt to make a delivery to Raccoon City General hospital, and unwittingly gets swept up in events beyond his control as a viral outbreak grips the city. 

Rev. Noir

Debuted in February’s State of Play, RPG Rev. Noir makes a welcome return as publisher Konami joined both shows today, bringing new gameplay trailers with them along with confirming a 2027 release. The game follows Asch and Finé on their journey to stop the deadly catastrophe known as the lightfall, offering a glimpse at the fate that awaits them. 

Rhapsody in Scarlet

In Rhapsody in Scarlet, Konami presents an all-new action adventure game that combines 1920s New York, jazz, and magical beasts. Magus Ellie Myers becomes caught up in a mystery involving a shadowy mafia organization. 

Producer Takanori Murayama debuts a separate Story trailer in State of Play Japan, and sits down to talk more about the game’s exhilarating combat and stylish, customisable combos as you combine magic and beast abilities.

Saros Zenith update

The Saros Zenith update launches later this year, at no added cost for Saros players. It includes Overlord Rush, which sees players battle bosses from the main campaign back to back, while competing with players around the world. A New Game Plus mode called Eclipse Layers brings new modifiers, progression options and other secrets. The update will also introduce new accessibility features, such as a slow game speed option. 

SlashZero

A time-limited demo for SlashZero is available today on PS5, featuring three playable characters, boss battles, and more than 10 hours of content. The side-scrolling action roguelike is set to launch in spring 2027, with a new trailer offering another look at its fast-paced action across shattered timelines. 

Stupid Never Dies

A demo for Stupid Never Dies is available today on PS5, letting players jump into the opening hours of the game and carry their save data over when the full game launches October 21. A new trailer also showed off more of its wild zombie action, including stealing abilities from powerful monsters to grow stronger.

The Eminence in Shadow: Phantom Echoes

Revealing The Eminence in Shadow: Phantom Echoes, the series’ first console game, coming to PS5 in 2027. The first trailer offers a look at roguelite action focused on the Seven Shadows, along with an original story created under the supervision of series author Daisuke Aizawa.

Uncanyon

From shifting scales of perspective and memories to the shift of unparallel realities. Maquette creator Graceful Decay returns with Uncanyon, launching next year on PS5. This puzzle-first adventure is set in a forgotten world that emerged in the folds of converging unparallel universes. Convergences that you can control, blending realities then exploring the mix you’ve just created.

Until Dawn 2

Firesprite’s PS5 horror is set to send chills up your spine January 28, 2027. Alongside the release date reveal, today’s State of Play trailer sees the Dead True crew pull double-duty on their hunt for the supernatural: firstly, the franchise return to Blackwood Sanitorium, then on to Akishima Island, and the tough choices lurking within. Get glimpses of the game’s choice-driven narrative…and the consequences that result.

Where the Seeds Fall

Cygames introduces CygamesEdge, a new label focused on creating bold, experimental game experiences, alongside its debut title, Where the Seeds Fall. Coming to PS5 on November 5, 2026, the action-adventure follows a soldier and a Fell Child as they descend the World Tree toward the Blight-stricken surface, navigating ruins, wind, and dangerous drops along the way. 

World Phasebound Control Authority: WPCA

World Phasebound Control Authority: WPCA is a new action RPG coming to PS5 in 2028. Set in Seoul, players take on the role of a Containment Agent, entering containment zones to confront bizarre supernatural phenomena.
