Spider-Man: Brand New Day Image Revealed, as Next Trailer Expected Tomorrow

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is expected to get its long-awaited second trailer tomorrow — and ahead of then, here’s a brand new image from the movie.

The photo shows Spider-Man’s best buddy and guy in the chair Ned Leeds, who in Brand New Day is revealed to have set up an online fansite for New York’s favorite webslinger — that real-life fans will be able to access fully from tomorrow.

You can already head over to SpideyTracker.net to watch a video welcome from Ned, though the site will get a full launch tomorrow. Once live, the website will feature details of upcoming Spidey events, Easter eggs, and in-universe information on characters. (Hey, maybe we’ll finally find out who Sadie Sink is playing?)

In a cunning bit of brand synergy, Spidey Tracker is sponsored by Samsung Galaxy, which just so happens to be the brand of foldable phone we can see Ned holding in the movie itself. In a press release, Samsung said its partnership reflected “the reality that even our closest relationships can evolve as life takes us in new directions,” requiring technology that “helps people stay close to those who matter most.”

Of course, Brand New Day will see Ned and Peter Parker’s former girlfriend MJ unable to remember the identity of their former friend — though the trio will still cross paths, as glimpsed in the movie’s record-breaking first trailer. Will the pals reunite before the film’s finish? That remains to be seen, and there’s certainly plenty of other plotlines going on, including whatever’s going on with Sadie Sink’s character, a horde of villains including Scorpion, Tarantula, Tombstone, Boomerang and The Hand, plus the Department of Damage Control and a rampaging version of the Hulk.

This week, Spider-Man star Tom Holland talked again of plans to eventually hand over his Spidey suit to someone else — and this time even named an actor he’d pick to follow him in the role.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day arrives in theaters on July 31 — and keep an eye out for that trailer tomorrow.
