Round 14 of the 2026 Formula One season sees the drivers enter the unknown as they take on a Madrid street circuit making its first appearance on the F1 schedule.

The first GP to be held in the Spanish capital in 40 years, the 22-corner, 3.365-mile Circuito de Madring is being billed as one of the year’s most challenging for the drivers. The hybrid track combines public-road sections with purpose-built elements, with an extremely fast opening section and substantial elevation changes throughout.

Last weekend’s Italian GP saw Kimi Antonelli mount an inspired comeback from the back of the grid to claim a win on home turf. The win extended his championship lead over his Mercedes teammate George Russell to 66 points.

The Spanish Grand Prix takes place at the Circuito de Madring in Madrid on Sunday, Sept. 13, at 3 p.m. CET. That makes it a 9 a.m. ET or 6 a.m. PT start in the US and Canada, and for viewers in the UK, it’s 2 p.m. BST. Australian F1 fans are looking at an 11 p.m. AEST start on Sunday night.

F1 racing has a new home on Apple TV, with the 2026 season marking the start of its five-year broadcast run for US viewers. There are ways to stream the events with a paid subscription or for free.

It’s worth noting that if you’ve recently bought a new Apple device and haven’t previously subscribed to the streaming platform, you can take advantage of a three-month free trial within 90 days of purchase. 

If you’re not lucky enough to have bought a new Apple gadget during that time frame, there are two other free options for those new to Apple TV. The platform also offers a seven-day free trial to new subscribers through its dedicated app and the Apple TV channel on Prime Video. Finally, Apple’s subscription bundle, Apple One, will also get you a 30-day free trial of its TV streaming service.

Apple TV now costs $15 per month in the US for the standalone, ad-free streaming service. It’s also available as part of the Apple One bundle, which starts at $22 per month and includes Apple Music, Apple Arcade and iCloud Plus. 

How to livestream the Spanish Grand Prix in the UK 

The Spanish GP is available in the UK on Sky Sports. Sky Sports will include the practice rounds and qualifying. If you already have Sky Sports as part of your TV package, you can stream the race via its app. Cord-cutters can watch Sky TV with unlimited Sky Sports on a Now TV membership.

Livestream the Spanish Grand Prix in Canada

F1 fans can watch the Spanish GP on TSN, but TSN Plus is no longer available as a standalone streaming option. Viewers can now choose from two main monthly plans: TSN Standard for $25, or TSN Premium for $30. Bundles and annual subscriptions are also available. But you’ll need TSN Premium if you want to watch all the action for this race.

Existing TSN cable subscribers can also watch at no extra charge using their TV provider’s account login details.

TSN’s streaming services grant you access to TSN 1-5 live linear channels, plus content from the NFL, CFL, NBA and F1.

The Spanish GP can be watched Down Under on Fox Sports via Foxtel. If you’re not a Fox subscriber, your best option is to sign up for the streaming service Kayo Sports.
