After releasing exclusively through Sp5der in an olive colorway to start the year, the Superstar collaboration between Young Thug’s streetwear label and Adidas Originals is returning with a wider release in two styles.

The Sp5der x Adidas Superstar will be released in two colorways: a predominantly black look with a silver heel accent and a red-and-black style. Using the Supermodified Superstar, which features shifted three stripes branding and updated paneling, as its base, each pair in the Sp5der collaboration features a patent leather upper that’s been stamped with a spider web motif. 

Both pairs will emphasize customization as the black style comes packaged with solar green, pink and yellow shoelaces options, while the red iteration comes with white, yellow and pink laces. A laser-engraved spider keychain will also accompany both pairs. 

In addition to the footwear, Sp5der and Adidas will release two co-branded T-shirts with puff-print graphics.

Sp5der was launched in 2019 by rapper Young Thug. The Los Angeles-based brand’s graphic-heavy garments are typically featured on sweatshirts and sweatpants, although Sp5der has shown its capable of larger collections, previewing a range of knits and denim in 2024 at New York Fashion Week. Sp5der’s e-commerce site describes the brand as having a “luxury perspective with a punk spirit.”

The Sp5der x Adidas Superstars will be released first on kingspider.co this Friday followed by a wider global launch on March 3 from the Adidas Confirmed app and select retailers. Each pair of sneakers is priced at $150, while the T-shirt will retail for $70. The style code for the Red/Core Black/Silver Metallic colorway is KJ7005, while the Core Black/Core Black has a style code of KJ7021.
