So if you haven’t heard already, Tim Horton’s is doing a Harry Potter promotional event in August. I’m a transsexual/intersex refugee from the US, and learning that a Canadian entity is promoting the work of JK Rowling and funding her anti-trans/anti-woman hate campaign with their earnings is extremely disheartening and appalling, considering I fled here to escape a hostile and discriminatory anti-trans environment. Is there anything we could do to push back against Tim Horton’s and persuade them to drop the promotion, such as a letter-writing campaign?
