Fasting-Berg will report to FIT president Jason Schupbach and serve on the president’s cabinet. Her remit includes strengthening the college’s global profile, supporting enrollment and student success and developing new partnerships and growth opportunities.

The newly created position comes as FIT advances Future//Forward, a strategic initiative launched by Schupbach focused on preparing students for careers spanning the creative industries, technology and business.

“Kim’s expertise in leading the evolution of world-class brands will be instrumental in shaping the future of FIT,” Schupbach said. “As an innovator with an exceptional reputation—and as a SUNY alum—Kim is ideally positioned to build on FIT’s momentum to expand the college’s impact across the global creative industries.”

Fasting-Berg most recently served as executive vice president and chief marketing officer at WME Fashion, where she led marketing and business strategy for a portfolio that includes IMG Models, Art + Commerce, The Wall Group and IMG Fashion Events.

She previously served as CMO of home furnishings company Kravet and spent more than a decade at Condé Nast, including as head of marketing for Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair, Glamour and Allure. Her work there extended across digital platforms and properties including the Met Gala, Vogue’s Forces of Fashion, GQ’s Men of the Year and Vanity Fair’s Oscar Party.

“FIT sits at the intersection of creativity, technology, business and culture—exactly where the future of the global economy is heading,” Fasting-Berg said. “From a marketing standpoint, the college is at a once-in-a-generation inflection point.”

Retail

Old Navy

Gap Inc. has named Michael Francis president and CEO of Old Navy, effective Nov. 2, succeeding Haio Barbeito as the retailer looks to build on a multiyear turnaround at its largest brand.

Francis joined Gap Inc. in March as Old Navy’s chief customer officer and head of marketing shared services. In his new role, he will oversee the brand’s next phase of growth, with a focus on strengthening its marketing and storytelling, improving the omnichannel and in-store customer experience and deepening its connection with families.

Francis brings more than four decades of retail, marketing and business transformation experience. Before joining Gap Inc., he spent a decade as a strategic adviser to Walmart’s C-suite and board as the retail giant expanded its e-commerce, membership and advertising businesses.

Earlier in his career, Francis held leadership roles at DreamWorks Animation and JCPenney following a 26-year tenure at Target, where he served as executive vice president and chief marketing officer for more than a decade.

“Michael is one of the most respected commercial, brand and customer leaders in retail,” Gap Inc. president and CEO Richard Dickson said. “His experience building iconic brands, cultivating customer connections and driving transformation at scale will help Old Navy strengthen its relevance, accelerate growth and deliver even greater value for customers.”

Francis succeeds Barbeito, who will transition into an advisory role. Under Barbeito, Old Navy increased its annual revenue by nearly $500 million since Gap Inc. began its broader transformation, according to Dickson.

“Old Navy is an iconic American brand with a unique place in the lives of millions of customers,” Francis said. “Together, we will continue to sharpen our customer focus, strengthen the brand’s cultural relevance, enhance the customer experience across every touchpoint and build on the momentum already underway.”

Kohl’s

Kohl’s has promoted Arianne Parisi to the newly created role of chief customer officer, bringing the department store retailer’s marketing and digital operations under one executive as chief marketing officer Christie Raymond prepares to depart in September.

Parisi, who has served as Kohl’s chief digital officer since 2025, will report to CEO Michael J. Bender. Her expanded remit includes marketing, brand and creative, loyalty, personalization, media and digital commerce, including Kohls.com and the Kohl’s app.

The retailer said the organizational shift is intended to connect its brand and digital operations more closely across the customer lifecycle and modernize its omnichannel experience.

“Bringing marketing and digital together under one leader will help foster a greater focus on the full customer lifecycle and how Kohl’s shows up across customer touchpoints,” Bender said. “Arianne always starts with the customer—making sure that how we position ourselves as a brand and how we execute as a business both deliver on our customer promise.”

Parisi brings more than 20 years of retail experience. Before joining Kohl’s last year, she served as global chief digital officer at JD Sports Fashion. She previously held digital leadership roles at The Finish Line and Nordstrom, as well as merchandising positions at The Sports Authority.

“As customer expectations continue to evolve, we have an opportunity to bring our brand, digital experience, loyalty and marketing together in a more connected way,” Parisi said.

Raymond will leave Kohl’s after nine years with the company. Bender credited the outgoing CMO with strengthening its customer insights and strategy and identifying new opportunities for the business.

Brands

Helly Hansen

Kontoor Brands has named C.J. King general manager of Helly Hansen North America Sport, effective Aug. 31, as the Wrangler and Lee owner looks to expand its newest brand in the U.S. outdoor market.

King will oversee all aspects of Helly Hansen’s North America Sport business, including commercial strategy and marketplace execution. He will join the brand’s leadership team and report to Børre Hegbom, senior vice president and global head of Helly Hansen.

King joins Helly Hansen after a decade at Arc’teryx, where he most recently served as vice president of global commercial. During his tenure, he also served as vice president and general manager of North America and vice president of North American wholesale, overseeing the outdoor brand’s wholesale and retail channels and helping shape its broader omnichannel strategy.

Earlier in his career, King held roles at outdoor and performance brands including Smartwool, Pearl Izumi and The North Face.

“C.J. brings a proven ability to lead high-performing commercial organizations, build deep connections with technical outdoor consumers and translate premium brand strength into sustainable growth,” Hegbom said. “His experience will be instrumental as we strengthen Helly Hansen’s position in the U.S., the world’s largest outdoor market.”

The appointment follows Kontoor’s acquisition of Helly Hansen, which added the outdoor label to a portfolio that also includes Wrangler and Lee.

Logistics

Veho

Last-mile delivery company Veho has appointed Chewy chief operating officer Scott Anderson to its board of directors as the company continues to expand its U.S. delivery network.

Anderson brings extensive e-commerce logistics experience to the role. At Chewy, he oversees end-to-end logistics operations, while earlier in his career, he spent a decade at Amazon, rising from a front-line operations position to overseeing North American fulfillment and transportation.

His appointment comes as Veho expands its national footprint. The company said its client base grew 70 percent in 2025, while the number of new client launches nearly tripled from the previous year. Veho currently operates in 83 markets, reaching more than half of the U.S. population.

“Scott has built and operated two of the most complex e-commerce logistics networks in the country. He knows what it takes to scale,” said Veho co-founder and CEO Itamar Zur. “As Veho becomes a primary shipping partner for the country’s leading brands, his experience scaling national networks while maintaining reliability and customer focus is a big advantage.”

Veho counts Macy’s, Sephora, Lululemon, Stitch Fix and HelloFresh among the brands using its delivery network.

“When a delivery network performs consistently at scale, the impact can extend beyond logistics to customer satisfaction, repeat purchase and long-term loyalty,” Anderson said. “I’ve spent much of my career building networks grounded in that principle.”

TrueCommerce

Supply chain network TrueCommerce has named Anthony Gallo chief product officer, putting the enterprise technology veteran in charge of product strategy, management and design as the company expands its use of artificial intelligence across its platform.

Gallo will oversee efforts to combine data from TrueCommerce’s global supply chain network with enterprise systems and AI. The company said its network processes roughly 600 million transactions annually and connects businesses with trading partners across more than 40 countries.

Among Gallo’s product priorities will be developing AI-powered B2B commerce capabilities that can generate recommendations and automated actions from transaction data, further integrating network data with customers’ enterprise resource planning systems and building governance and auditability into AI outputs.

“Anthony has spent his career proving what intelligence built on supply chain data can do for enterprises,” said TrueCommerce CEO Bill Glass. “Bringing that experience to a network of our scale is how we continue to turn connectivity into advantage for our customers.”

Gallo joins TrueCommerce from Kinaxis, where he served as vice president of product management and platform innovation. He has more than 25 years of experience in enterprise software and digital platforms and previously served as chief product officer at Tenovos and held product leadership roles at OpenText.

“The true power of a global network isn’t just its connectivity, but the possibilities created when data, enterprise platforms and intelligence converge,” Gallo said.

Textiles

Lenzing Group

Lenzing AG has elected Martin Seiter to its supervisory board as the Austrian fiber producer moves ahead with a strategic realignment backed by a planned capital increase of approximately 300 million euros.

Seiter was elected at the company’s Aug. 25 extraordinary general meeting and will serve through the annual general meeting that votes on the discharge of liability for the 2028 fiscal year. He succeeds Franz Gasselsberger, who stepped down from the supervisory board at his own request.

The appointment came as shareholders approved the roughly 300-million-euro capital increase intended to strengthen Lenzing’s financial position and support its “Grow Nonwovens, Reset Textiles” strategy, which the company announced in July. The transaction will preserve existing shareholders’ subscription rights and is expected to be completed no later than Feb. 25, 2027.

“The broad support from our shareholders, in particular our major shareholders, the B&C Group and Suzano, as well as Oberbank AG, demonstrates their confidence in our strategic realignment,” CEO Georg Kasperkovitz said. “The capital increase strengthens our financial structure and is a key building block for the successful implementation of our ‘Grow Nonwovens, Reset Textiles’ strategy.”

Lenzing’s supervisory board continues to include 10 members elected by shareholders, with Patrick Lackenbucher remaining chairman, as well as five members delegated by the company’s works council.
