Scotland women beat Bangladesh to make it two wins out of two in tri-series


Scotland continued their winning start to their T20 tri-series in Edinburgh, defeating Bangladesh by eight wickets.

The Scots, who beat the Netherlands on Thursday, were set a target of 134 after visiting captain Nigar Sultana Joty was 46 not out as her side finished on 133-5.

Skipper Katherine Bryce was 54 not out, with her sister Sarah also not out on 23 as Scotland made it to 134-2. Katherine Fraser contributed 28 runs and Darcey Carter added 23.

Scotland face Bangladesh again on Tuesday before a second meeting with the Dutch on Wednesday.

The series acts as a warm-up for the T20 World Cup, which starts on 12 June. Scotland are in Group B alongside hosts England, Ireland, New Zealand, West Indies and Sri Lanka.
