
NASHUA — The Dover and Winnacunnet high school cross country teams both competed at the Nashua North Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 12.
In the girls race, Winnacunnet placed fifth in the 15-team standings behind a trio of top-30 finishes with a team score of 122, while Dover was eighth (213).

Hanover and Hopkinton both finished with a score of 77 points, but Hanover won on a tiebreaker.

Sofia Parisi
Junior Sofia Parisi led Winnacunnet with a seventh-place finish in 20 minutes, 5.2 seconds. Sophomore Vera McCown was 20th in 20:48.9, while freshman Pamela Valhouli (27th, 21:14.7) and freshman Rowan Condon (28th, 21:15.5) also finished in the top 30. Junior Isabella Stringer rounded out the scoring five with a 48th-place finish in 22:27.7.
Senior Janelle Poulin led Dover, placing 13th overall in 20:16.1. Senior Lily Fiorenza placed 32nd (21:38.7), sophomore Evalee James was 34th (21:42.5) and senior Lily Glode was 59th (23:05.5).

In the boys race, Dover placed eighth in the team standings with 213 points, led by junior Nils Anderson, who finished 17th overall in 16:50.9.
Sophomore Zach LeFebvre was 28th (17:25.2), sophomore Luke Dean was 30th (17:34.4), junior Finn Polzin was 49th (18:09.9) and junior Charlie Pettee was 62nd (18:35.8).
Sophomore Tyler Ebert led Winnacunnet with a 48th-place finish in 18:09.6. Sophomore Leon Myszko placed 64th (18:36.7), and sophomore Sheadon Lambert was 70th (18:44.2).

YORK, Maine – Goalie Sarah Orso had 19 saves for Class B York in its loss to Class A Mt. Ararat. Bella Fulis played well for the Wildcats, now 1-2 on the season.
