Despite sitting out on Sunday’s Eagles game against the Panthers due to an injury, Saquon Barkley is still in high spirits with the unveiling of his new watch collaboration with H. Moser & Cie.

After working with his stylist Joshua McPhearson to wear the Swiss watch brand at the Met Gala in 2025 to kick-start his partnership with the brand, Barkley said what drew him to the company was its family environment.

“The partnership with H. Moser has been tremendous,” Barkley told WWD in an interview. “It’s been really cool to be part of the family and part of the brand and see all the hard work that they put into designing watches, especially now seeing the side of it where you’re able to make your own custom watch.”

“What inspires us about Saquon is not only what he achieves on the field,” said Edouard Meylan, chief executive officer of H. Moser. “It’s everything that comes before it: the unseen hours of training, the discipline, perseverance and humility. Beyond the athlete is an authentic, curious and genuinely inspiring person. It’s a philosophy that feels very familiar to us.”

The Pioneer Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Aventurine Saquon Barkley, which retails for $99,000, is a limited-release with just 97 watches as a nod to the year of his birth.

With its 42.8 mm steel case, HMC 811 manufacture caliber and water-resistant to 120 meters, the watch embodies the sporting DNA of the brand’s Pioneer collection. With a skeletonized architecture to showcase the movement’s complexities, the subdial was given a floating-like feel above the mechanics.

Some other notable details are its Super-LumiNova glow-in-the-dark features — numbers 2 and 6 glow different colors to nod to the running back’s jersey number, 26. The watch hues are similar to Pennsylvania State’s colors, where Barkley went to school for three years before he entered the 2018 NFL Draft.

“As an athlete, and in my life, you always want to try to do [this] kind of stuff,” said Barkley. “You get focused on your legacy and things that you can leave behind. It’s super cool to be able to tell my kids and family that their father has a watch.”

As an athlete, he said he’s always focused on the details and little things — which he attributes to making all the difference when winning, losing and being successful on the football field.

“It’s the same thing, and even more, when it comes to watchmaking and designing a watch,” Barkley said. “I was very vocal about the vision because this is my first time doing this and they hit it on the head. [It was super cool] when you’re able to tell a story about yourself and what you want the watch to tell about you.”

Barkley described his relationship with time as being “limited.” He tries to use his time wisely, take advantage of every moment and enjoy it.

“From the second you get into this world [of sports], you’re kind of just playing with time — and at some point it’s all going to be over. I try to be super passionate and try to have as much fun as I can,” he said.
